Analysis on the effect of racecadotril particles combined with montmorillonite powder in treatment of infants with rotavirus enteritis

OBJECTIVE To observe the effect of racecadotril particles combined with montmorillonite powder in treatment of infants with rotavirus enteritis.METHODS From March 2009 to March 2010,120 infants with rotavirus enteritis were divided into two groups,of which observation group(60 cases)was treated with racecadotril particles combined with montmorillonite powder and control group(60 cases)was only treated with montmorillonite powder.The clinical effect and changes between the two groups were compared.RESULTS The total effective rate in observation group was 86.7%,which was significantly higher than that in control group with 71.7%(P﹤0.05).The disappear time of coughing,wheezing,crackles and hospitalization time of observation group were significantly shorter than those in control group(P﹤0.05).The antiemetic time,and time of dehydration correction,stool frequency and stool properties were significantly shorter than those in control group(P﹤0.05).CONCLUSION Racecadotril particles combined with montmorillonite powder in treatment of infants with rotavirus enteritis can enhance the effect,and have high safety,which can be applied in clinic.
