Abstract

Objective To compare the effect of propofol combined with remifentanil or midazolam in patients for painless gastroscopy. Methods One hundred and twenty patients scheduled for gastroscopy were randomly divied equally into three groups with 40 cases each.Group A,propofol;group B,propofol combined with remifentanil;group C,propofol combined with midazolam. The administration of propofol, recovery time and side effects were observed. Results Propofol combined with remifentanil or midazolam can reduce the administration of propofol and side effects, enhance the analgesic effect, but after combined with midazolam, the recovery time was longer. Conclusion Propofol combined with remifentanil in patients for painless gastroscopy is feasible.
