Abstract
Objective To establish an HPLC method for the determination and evaluation of paeonol in cortex moutan from different manufacturers.Methods HPLC was performed on Dikma C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm) with methanol-water(45∶ 55)as mobile phase,the detection wavelength was 274 nm and the flow rate was 1.0 mL·min-1.Results Most of the samples determined conformed to the requirement of Chinese Pharmacopoeia(2010 edition),but the contents of paeonol of various batches were significantly different and some were lower than the requirement.Conclusion The different batches and processing methods had great influence on the content of paeonol in cortex moutan.
