Clinical significance of expression of nm23-H_1 and MMP-2 in bladder carcinoma

Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the expressions of nm23-H 1 and MMP-2 in bladder carcinoma.Methods Immunohistochemical study for nm23-H 1 and MMP-2 were performed on 63 cases of paraffin-embedded specimens of surgical carcinoma.Results There were significant difference in MMP-2 between the transitional cell carcinoma of bladder and mastoid tumor.The positive expression of MMP-2 was significantly increased with stage and grade (P0.05).But the posstive expression of nm23-H 1 decreased with the stage and grade (P0.05).Conclusion The expression of some metastasis-related genes can be used to estimte the metastatic potenciality and help for the adguvant treatment.
