Clinical effects of enalapril combined with metoprolol in the treatment of hypertension

Abstract
Objective To analyze the clinical effects of enalapril combined with metoprolol in the treatment of hypertension. Methods 90 patients with hypertension who were admitted to our hospital were randomly allocated to a treatment group(45 cases) and a control group(45 cases).The control group was given metoprolol,and the treatment group was further given enalapril.Curative effects in the two groups were analyzed. Results The total effective rate was 95.6%in the treatment group and 80.0% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Drug onset time in the treatment group was faster than that in the control group(P0.05).Incidence of adverse effects was 2.2%in the treatment group and 11.1% in the control group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Enalapril combined with metoprolol in the treatment of hypertension has a significant curative effect of lowering blood pressure,and is safe and effective,which is worthy of being the ideal drug for hypertension.
