Analysis of the Prescriptions of Chinese Patent Medicine in Our Hospital during 2010-2011

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To provide reference for rational use of Chinese patent medicine in our hospital.METHODS:2 000 prescriptions were randomly collected from outpatient pharmacy and inpatient pharmacy of our hospital during.2010 to.2011.The utilization of Chinese patent medicine and rationality of drug use were summarized and analyzed.RESULTS:Chinese patent medicines were mostly used in elderly patients;Chinese patent medicines for removing blood stasis,nourishing yin and cleaning heat,etc.were widely used.There were still some problems,such as large amount of Chinese medicine was prescribed by western medicine doctors;the diagnosis does not match with medication of prescription;drug combination was not suitable.CONCLUSIONS: The management of Chinese patent medicine prescriptions should be strengthened to improve rational and safe use of Chinese patent medicine.
