Abstract
In the presence of CTMAB and sodium tartrate, zinc(Ⅱ) reacts with 5 bromosalicyl fluorone(5 BrSAF) in alkaline solution to form a rose colored four component complex with absorption maximum at 560 nm,and the molar absorptivity is 1.08×10 5 L·mol -1 ·cm -1 .The molar ratio (Zn∶5 BrSAF∶CTMAB∶sodium tartrate) is 1∶2∶3∶4.Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range for zinc(Ⅱ) of 0~10 μg/25 mL.The proposed method is sensitive and selective, and was applied to the determination of microamounts of zinc(Ⅱ) in water and medicine with satisfactory results
