Observation and care of the patients with severe craniocerebral injury

Objective:To summarize the observation and care experiences in patients of severe craniocerebral injury. Methods:To analyze retrospectively the observation and care measures in 136 patients of severe craniocerebral injury from January 2005-October 2008. Results:We take use of the criteria of GOS assess prognosis, 46 cases were good prognosis (34%), 22 cases were good recovery and 24 cases were residual in them; 63 cases were poor prognosis (46%), 42 cases were severely disabled and 21 cases were plant survival in them; 27 cases were death (20%). Conclusion:The patients with severe craniocerebral injury is severe, changes quickly, many complications and poor prognosis, high mortality, so that it has an im portant role in improving the cure rate and reducing mortality when we take a good job of observation and care the patients of severe craniocerebral injury.
