Abstract
Objective To summarize the management experience for patients with severe craniocerebral injury. Methods The clinical date of 78 cases with severe craniocerebral injury (G·C·S score8)was analyzed retrospectively. Results In all of 78 cases, 44 cases were with good recovery(56.4%), 8 cases with low or moderate grade disability(10.3%), 5 cases with severe disability(6.4%), 2 cases were in suspended animation, and 19 cases died. Conclusions The key means to improve the survival rate and the quality of life of patients with severe craniocerebral injury are early diagnosis, actively operational decompression, sufficient supply of oxygen for brain tissue, preventing and controlling complication, and reduce the secondary brain damage.
