Laparoscopic varicocele ligation

Purpose:To evaluate the clinical results and value of laparoscopic varecocele ligation. Methods:To analyse retrospectively the clinical data of 24 patients who underwent laparoacopic varicocele ligation. Results:All operations were completed successfully with little blood loss, and mean operative time was 26.5 minutes, and mean hospital days after operation were 2.3 days. Being followed up for 3-8 months,one patient developed the recurrence of varicele. Conclusions:Laparoacopic varicocele ligation is effective and minimally invasive and it should be the first choice for patients with bilateral varicocele and those recurrent after open surgery.
