Abstract
Objective To explore the expression and significance of heat shork protein (HSP)70 and Bcl-2 in cervical squamous cell cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical method for HSP70 and Bcl-2 were performed on 60 cases of cervical squamous cancer,18 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia(CIN) and 10 cases of normal cervical tissues. Results In cervical squamous cell cancer, the expression of HSP70 and Bcl-2 were significantly higher than that of CIN and normal cervical tissues. The expression of HSP70 were significantly correlated with the pathological grade, clinical stages and lymph node metastasis. The expression of HSP70 was significantly correlated with the expression of Bcl-2.Conclusions HSP70 and Bcl-2 should play an important role in the genesis and development of cervical squamous cell cancer, and there may be some extent coordinated regulation among them.HSP70 can be as an important index in predicting the prognosis of cervical squamous cell cancer.
