Thinking on the Concept of News Value

Abstract
The news value is the social needs in objective facts and the focus when the journalists choose the news. The news values has five elements which are timeliness,proximity,conspicuousness,importance and interest. The important point is to realize and excavate the news value but not to change or create it subjectively. It corrects some ambiguous understanding of news values and puts forward the suggestions for correcting the concept of news value.
