Abstract

Higher vocational education should not only cultivate students to acquire the necessary knowledge of English,but also cultivate students to put the language into practical application.The traditional Presentation—Practice—Production,3Ps teaching methods have been unable to meet the needs ofthe higher vocational English language teaching,so it is urgent to reform this English teaching method.This paper introduces the application of task-based language teaching methods in higher vocational English teaching,lists several task-design principles,and gives suggestions on how to better implement the task-based language method in higher vocational English teaching.
