Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of Survivin and S-phase kinase-associated protein-2( Skp2) in non-small cell lung cancer. Methods The specimens were collected from 60 cases of non-small cell lung cancer tissues and 40 cases of adjacent normal lung tissues, immunohistochemistry was used to test the expressions of Survivin and Skp2 in the specimens, and the relationship of the expressions with clinical pathology was analyzed. Results The expression rates of Survivin,Skp2 in non-small cell lung cancer tissues were higher than those in adjacent normal lung tissues( P 0. 05). The positive rate of Skp2 in patients with lung cancer correlated with lung cancer pathological type, differentiation degree,TNM staging, lymph node metastasis, smoking and Survivin expression( P 0. 05).There was a positive correlation between Survivin expression and Skp2 expression in non-small cell lung cancer( P 0. 05).Conclusion Overexpressions of Survivin,Skp2 may be involved in the occurrence and development of non-small cell lung cancer, the detection of the expressions of Survivin and Skp2 in lung cancer tissues can benefit the diagnosis and prognosis of lung cancer patients.
