Abstract
Objective It is to study the anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects of Kuijieling (KJL). Methods Anti-inflammatory effect of KJL was studied with the model of egg-white-induced swelling in foot of rat and cotton-ball-induced granuloma of rat. Analgesic effects of KJL were studied with pain model mice and that were induced by acetic acid and hot plate. Results The degree of the swelling induced by egg white were decreased significantly and the weight of granuloma induced by cotton-ball of rat was reduced. The times of torsion caused by acetic acid were reduced and the pain threshold of mice were reinforced. Conclusion KJL has significant anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
