Abstract
Objective To investigate the document of emergency medicine epidemiology in Zhengzhou from January 2003 to December 2004 and the results of emergency care of emergency public. Methods Analysis classification of emergency disease and the number of ambulance departure, the rea- son of the emergency public and the method of emergency management. Results Emergency ambulance departure for emergency cases in the year of 2003 were 34 931 and in the year of 2004 were 41 246. In- crease rate was 18%. There were 18 678 trauma cases in the year of 2004, which was 45% of the total e- mergency cases. There were 11 times of public emergency in the year of 2004 , 173 died and 229 injury at the scene. All the 229 injury cases were survival after emergency care. Conclusion Trauma is the num- ber one reason of emergency disease. Reinforce the Emergency Medical Service System may increase the abilityofemergencycare for general emergencyand public emergency.
