Abstract

[Objective]To observe the efficacy of carvedilol in the treatment of chronic heart failure(CHF).[Methods]60 CHF patients were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. On the basis of the conventional treatment, the treatment group was given carvedilol from low dose to target dose. The control group was treated with conventional treatment. After 12 months of treatment, the efficacy of two groups was observed.[Results]After 12 months of treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group(93.3%) was higher than that of the control group(66.7%) significantly(χ2=6.67,P0.01).There were significant differences in changes of LVDd,LVDs,LVEF and HR before and after treatment between two groups(P0.05).[Conclusion]In the treatment of CHF,the curative effect of carvedilol which begins with low dose combined with the conventional treatment is better than that of the conventional treatment, and it has the advantages of slight adverse reaction and high safety.
