A Breeding Report of Maize Hybrid "Changda 19"

Abstract
A new maize hybrid changda 19 was obtained by using P288 as female parent and P291 as male parent.Its yield was 12 245.0 kg/hm2 in the 2-year regional test,12.1 % higher than that of the control variety;its yield was 11 377.6 kg/hm2 in the production test,12.6 % higher that of the control variety zhengdan 958.Changda 19 was examined and approved by Jilin Evaluation Committee of Crop Variety in January of 2010.Changda 19 is of high yield,great resistance to diseases and lodging.It can be planted in late mature region of Jilin province.
