A breeding report of maize hybrid "Jinongyu308".

Abstract
A high starch maize hybrid Jiyu308 was obtained usingGS02as female parent and GS03 as male parent.Its yield was 10 505.0 kg/hm2 in the 2-year regional test,8.85% higher than that of the control variety;and testing results showed its yield was 9 588.9 kg/hm2 in the production test,3.5% higher that of the control variety,pingquan13.Jinongyu308 was examined and approved by Jilin Evaluation Committee of Crop Variety in January of 2008.Jinongyu308 is of high starch,steady yield,high yield,great resistance to diseases and better quality.It can be planted in middle-late mature region of Jilin province and some regions of Heilongjiang province.
