The influence of atorvastatin and aspirin enteric-coated tablets treatment on carotid plaques in patients with cerebral infarction and recurrence of cerebral infarction

Objective To observe the influence of atorvastatin and aspirin enteric-coated tablets treatment on carotid plaques in patients with cerebral infarction and recurrence of cerebral infarction.Methods 80 patients with cerebral infarction in carotid plaque were randomly divided into two groups,each group was 40 cases,carotid ultrasonography were checked before treatment and after 6 months of treatment,the treatment groups:took medicine of atorvastatin and aspirin enteric-coated tablets;the control group:took medicine of aspirin enteric coated tablet,the analysis of atorvastatin and aspirin enteric-coated tablets treatment on carotid plaques in patients with cerebral infarction and recurrence of cerebral infarction after 6 months of treatment,and maked statistical analysis.Results Unstable plaques rate of the treatment group decreased compared with pretherapy after 6 months of treatment,existing significant differences(P0.05),compared with the control group existing significant difference(P0.05),recurrence rate of cerebral infarction in treatment group was small compared with the control group,existing significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Atorvastatin and aspirin enteric-coated tablets could stabilize carotid plaques,reduced the recurrence of cerebral infarction.
