Abstract
A new catalytic spectrophotometric method for determination of trace manganese(Ⅱ) was developed. The method is based on the catalytic effect of manganese(Ⅱ) on the oxidation of alizarin violet 3B by potassium periodic acid in the presence of nitrilotriacetic acid as an activator in borax medium. The linear range of the method is 0.030-6.0μg/L for manganese. The detection limit is 1 0×10 -11g/mL.The method has been applied to the determination of trace manganese in water and tea with satisfactory results.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
