Abstract
A catalytic spectrophotometric method for determination of trace manganese(Ⅱ) was developed.Themethod is based on the catalytic effect of manganese(Ⅱ) on the oxidation reaction of methyl violet by KBrO 3 leading to a decoloration of methyl violet. The range of determination for Mn(Ⅱ) is 0~1μg/25mL and 1~5μg/25mL.The detection limit of the method is 1.2×10 -9 g.mL -1 .The method has been applied to the determination of trace manganese in rice and flour with satisfactory results.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
