Efficacy of mifepristone in combination with two different doses of mifepristone in the treatment of nonrupture ectopic pregnancy.

Objective To investigate the efficacy of mifepristone in combination with two different doses of methotrexate(MTX) in the treatment of nonrupture ectopic pregnancy.Methods Ninety-seven patients with nonrupture ectopic pregnancy were enrolled in the study;Of which,58 patients had serum β-human chorionic gonadotropin(β-HCG)≤2 000 U/L,39 patients had bloodβ-HCG2 0070 U/L.Patients were further divided into two groups according to MTX regimen used: MTX 50mg/m~2 IM once only(Group A) or MTX 20mg IM once daily for 5 days(Group B);mifepristone dose was the same in both groups: 200mg PO once daily for 3 days.Vital signs,serum β-HCG lavels and tranvaginal ultrasonography were monitored after treatment began.Results Among patients with serum β-HCG≤2 000 U/L,cure rate of ectopic pregnancy was 84.6% in Group B and 78.9% in Group A,the difference between two groups was not significant(P0.05).Serum β-HCG levels decreased to normal ranges in 20.2±2.7 days and 13.2±3.4 days,respectively.Among patients with serumβ-HCG2 000 U/L,cure rate of ectopic pregnancy was 65.2% in Group B and 68.7% in Group A.Serum β-HCG levels decreased to normal ranges in 23.2±3.4 days or 16.8±3.1days.Conclusion There was no siffinical differences in efficacy of mifepristone plus two different doses of MTX in the treatment of nonrupture ectopic pregnancy.
