Abstract
Objective: To observe the clinical therapeutic effect of integrated traditional and western medicine on 567 cases of hand-foot-mouth disease. Methods: 567 patients with hand-foot-mouth disease were randomly divided into two groups,285 in observation group were treated with combined Chinese and Western therapy,282 in the control group were treated with single Western therapy. Results: The effective rates in both groups were 100%.the cure rate in the observation group was 88.1%,in the control group was 86.2%,the difference was non-significant(P0.05).To severe case, the cure rate in the observation group was 83.8%,in control group was 74.1%,the difference was significant(P0.05).The period of time that the symptom of fever was vanished in the observation group was 2.65±0.79d,in control group was 3.20±0.82d,the difference was significant(P0.05).The period of time that the symptom of anorexia was ameliorated in the observation group was 2.28±0.85d,in control group was 3.35±0.68d,the difference was significant(P0.05).The symptom of rash disappeared almost at the same time in both groups. Conclusion: Traditional-western combined treatment can increase the cure rate of hand-foot-mouth disease in severe case and abatement the complaint rapidly.
