Clincal analysis of insulin for treatment on acute cerebral infarction with normal plasma glucose level

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect and prognosis of acute cerebral infarction with normal plasma glucose level(≤7.0mmol/L)with insulin for treatment.Methods A total of 75 acute cerebral infarction patients with normal plasma glucose level,who were divided into two groups,one is treatment group including 40 patients who were given routine treament,also put 1U insulin into low consistency glucose injection per 2～4g glucose every day for two weeks,the other is comparing group including 35 patients who were given only routine treatment.Chinese stroke scale(CSS)was used to evaluate the symptoms and signs,according to the scores of the first day,eighth day and thirty-first day comparing therapeutic effect between different groups.Results The clinical efficacy rate of insulin treating group was 52.5%(on the eighth day)and 92.5%(on the thirty-first day).The clinical efficacy rate of routine treatment group was 28.6%(the eighth day)and 68.6%(the thirty-first day).The therapeutic effect of two groups were different(both P0.05).Conclusion It has a postive effect on recovery and prognosis of acute cerebral infarction with normal plasma glucose level with insulin for treatment.
