Clinical effect observation of xiaobanxia-fuling decoction in preventing vomiting induced by chemotherapy

Objective To explore the clinical effects of Xiaobanxia-Fuling Decoction in preventing vomiting induced by chemotherapy.Methods 42 patients were randomized into two groups:control group in which 21 cases were treated with metoclopramide,and observation groups 21 cases were treated with Xiaobanxia-Fuling Decoction and metoclopramide.A day before chemotherapy,Xiaobanxia-Fuling Decoction was beginning to be continuously used 6 days.To observenausea、 Vomiting and orexia in two groups within 5 days.Results The effective rate of prevention of anorexia,nausea and vomiting in observation group was significantly higher than that in control group between day 1 to day 5 after chemotherapy.It had statistic difference between the two groups(P0.05).And its adverse effects were mild.Conclusions Xiaobanxia-Fuling Decoction had a good curative effect on the treatment of the vomiting induced by chemotherapy.This Decoction combined with metoclopramide had a synergistic effect.Their curative effect was better than that of metoclopramide alone.
