Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the Tension-Free vaginal tape obturator technique(TVT-O)procedure in the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence.Methods:12 cases of female stress urinary incontinence treated by TVT-O procedure from March 2006 to February 2008 were analyzed retrospectively.Results:All cases were successfully cured by the TVT-O procedure.The mean operation time was 37 minutes.No complications were recorded among all of the operations.3 cases were urinary retention and recovered spontaneolusly in 3~7 days after operations.All cases were followed up form 2 to 12 months(mean 6 months),There're no complications.Conclusion:TVT-O procedure is simple and minimally invasive with lower complication rate and less risk of injury.It is a satisfactory technique for the surgical treatment of the female urinary stress incontinence.
