Utilization of Cardiovascular Chinese Patent Medicines in Outpatients of Our Hospital Between 2007 and 2008

Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To investigate the utilization of cardiovascular Chinese patent medicines in outpatient from different departments.METHODS:The utilization data of the cardiovascular Chinese patent medicines in our hospital from 2007 ～ 2008 were collected and analyzed with their ordering in total consumption sum and DDDs as indicators.RESULTS:The consumption sum of cardiovascular Chinese patent medicines in our hospital assumed an upward trend.The order of the top 10 Chinese patent drugs on DDDs list witnessed was basically stableover the 2 years;however,the DDDs order of Chinese patent drugs varied significantly between different outpatient departments.CONCLUSION:The utilization of cardiovascular Chinese patent medicines in our hospital was basically reasonable,however,there were difference regarding the utilization of those medicines in different departments.
