Abstract

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy ofYushang Decoctionand western medicine in treating peptic ulcer of stagnated heat in liver and stomach type. Methods One hundred and four cases with peptic ulcer of stagnated heat in liver and stomach type were randomized into treatment group and control group, with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated by western medicine and the treatment group was added withYushang Decoction, with the course of one month. The clinical efficacy,TCM symptom score, recurrence rate and Hp re-infection rate were observed. Results 1The total effective rate was 84. 62%in the treatment group and 84. 62% in the control group, with a difference between the two groups( P 0. 05). 2 There was a significant difference in TCM symptom score in both groups between before and after treatment( P 0. 05); after treatment, there was a significant difference in TCM symptom score and its difference value between the two groups( P 0. 05).. 3 The recurrence rates were 4. 76%( 1 /21) at the 3rd month and was 23. 81%( 5 /21) at the 6th month in the treatment group, and were 30. 77%( 4 /13) and 53. 85%( 7 /13) in the control group, with significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 05).4 After 3 months and 6 months treatment, the Hp re-infection rates were 9.38%( 3/32) and 25.00%( 8/32) in the treatment group, and were 19.05%( 4/21)and 61. 90%( 13 /21) in the control group, with significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion CombinedYushang Decoctionand western medicine can improve clinical efficacy and reduce the recurrence rate and Hp re-infection rate of peptic ulcer of stagnated heat in liver and stomach type.
