Clinical Observation on Peptic Ulcer Treated with Combination of TCM and Western Medicine

Abstract

Objective:To observe the effect of treatment of peptic ulcer by TCM combined with Western medicine.Methods:212 cases of peptic ulcer patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group.Control group was treated with Western medicine,Observation group was added Chinese herbs on the basis treatment.The clinical effect of two groups were compared.Results:Total effective rate of clinical observation group was 95.37%,which was higher than the control group(83.65%)with significant differences(χ2=11.51,P0.01).Follow-up 1 year recurrence rate of observation group was 12.96%,which was significantly less than the control group(28.85%)with significant differences(χ2=8.13,P0.01).Neither of the two groups in the course of treatment had significant adverse effects.Conclusion:Treatment of peptic ulcer by TCM combined with Western medicine is not only effective but also safe,it is recommended that clinical further promotion.
