Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of extracapsular cataract extraction combined with ptergium surgery under topical anesthesia in blindness prevention and treatment. Methods Extracapsular cataract extraction combined with ptergium surgery were performed on 48 patients (53 eyes) with 6 months follow up. Time cost、pain、posterior capsular in operation and best corrected visual acuity、complications after surgery were investigated. Results All surgeries all can complete smoothly. Conclusion Extracapsular cataract extraction combined with ptergium surgery under topical anesthesia is safe and effective in blindness prevention and treatment.
