Abstract

Objective To regain the sight of more than one thousand patients with cataract in a short time.Methods The modern extracapsular cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation were used.Results The unilateral recovery rate from blindness was 96.3%,from was 65%.The rate of complication was 8%.Conclusions Cleaned the conjunctiva sac by using 0.03% Iodophor has a dramatic effectiveness on sterilization.Peribulbar anesthesia or subconjunctival anesthesia can get results of analgesia.No intraoperative complication happened.ECCE combined with domestic IOL is beneficial to patients with cataract in rural area.
