The First Note on Recordsof the Historianof Sima Qian

After reading Sima Qian's Recordsof the Historian,thereshould have added to some notes for some terms specialized chose in it by its writer.Here are some,such as: the character 紬that Ru Chun paraphrasedas the connotation of having looked through all relevant historical booksand then describedis not accurate and to its deep meaning,should be explained as the meaning of being worth evaluatingand assessing;when Zhang Shujie quoted Justicefrom Records of the Historianfor his Records Lands in All,he had always took it for granted that the orientation for justice of the objects Records of the Historianwas fitful to the very time of Zhang himselfand not Sima's;枝梧of course equating 支吾or吱唔,means to keep silence with no utterance;after Xiangyu founded his kingdom,yet the annualyear was recorded in original Hanin Xiangyu Principles,as Sima Qian regarded Qin Hanas the historical order despiteof his living in HanDynasty.
