Explanation and Correction of "E Dong Guo Wei" in Historical Records——Analysis of the Region Names of Dongguo and Edong

The sentence Zhao Zhi Hedong Guowei in Historical Records is different from that in Intrigues of the Warring States.It is not reasonable to deny the former for the sentence in the latter.During the Warring States period,as relatively fixed region name,Dongguo had been mainly relevant to Chu and Qi,but not to Zhao.If using the meaning of land to explain the word Guo,these two words E and Dong should be connectedly read.But the phrase Edong does not comply with the ordinary rules of naming regions,therefore,the word E in Historical Records indeed is a false form of writing of the word He.As for the word Guo,because of little effect on the meaning of the sentence,it can be kept.
