Clinical Observation on Effect of Bushen Yanggan Xifeng Recipe Combined with Madopar on Treating Parkinson's Disease

Abstract

Objective:To observe the curative effect of Self-designed Bushen Yanggan Xifeng Recipe combined with Madopar on treating Parkinson's disease(PD).Methods:Eighty-three patients were randomly assigned to the treated group and the control group.The patients in control group(43 cases)were treated with Madopar,and the treated group(40 cases)was administered with Bushen Yanggan Xifeng Recipe additionally.The duration of treatment was 12 weeks.The unified Parkinson disease rating scale(UPDRS),the clinical efficacy,HY grade assessment,Madopar dosage and adverse reactions were observed before and after treatment.Results:The UPDRS score and the clinical efficacy of the treated group were obviously better than those of the control group(P0.05).The HY grade assessment and the Madopar dosage had no significant difference(P0.05).However,Madopar dosage in the treatment group decreased slightly after treatment.Conclusion:The treatment of Bushen Yanggan Xifeng Recipe combined with Madopar can improve symptoms and life quality of PD patients.
