Association of serum adiponectin and C-reactive protein in patients with acinte coronary syndrome

Objective To determine the association between serum adiponectin and C-reactive protein(CRP) in patients with acinte coronary syndrome(ACS).Methods Serum levels of adiponectin and CRP were measured in 50 patients with angiographically confirmed ACS group.21 patients with the stable angina group and 15 control subjects with normal coronary angiogram(control group).Result The levels of adiponectin significantly decreased and the levels of CRP significantly increased in ACS group,compared with the stable angina group and control group.There were no difference of adiponectin between SA group and control group.The level of adiponectin fell in parallel with the severity of coronary artery atherosclerosis in ACS group.Plasma adiponectin level was negatively correlated with the extent of coronary artery stenosis and CRP level.Conclusion The Serum levels of adiponectin significantly decrease in ACS group,which association with CRP may promote the development of atheroscleros is.
