Stady of the change of plasma adiponectin level in patients with coronary artery disease

Abstract

Objective To investigate the level of plasma adiponectin in coronary artery disease(CAD) and evaluate the correlation between adiponectin and atherosclerosis. Methods 40 patients with CAD were divided into two groups, 20 cases of acute coronary syndrome(ACS), 20 cases of stable angina pectoris(SAP). The plasma levels of adiponectin in groups of ACS and SAP were compared with healthy control group(20 persons). Results The plasma level of adiponectin in ACS group was significantly different compared with that of SAP and controls(P0.05,P0.001). Conclusion Plasma adiponectin can reflect the stadility of coronary artery lesion.
