Abstract

Objective To survey the antibiotic resistance of Neisseria gonorrhoeae and the prevalence of PPNG and TRNG in Guangzhou. Method Minimum inhibitory concentrations(MIC)to penicillin G, tetracycline, ciprofloxacin, ceftriaxone and spectiomycin of Neisseria gonorrhoeae were determined using the agar dilution method, and β-lactamase was detected by paper iodin quantitative method. Result In 110 strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, 38 produced β-lactamase, and 56 showed plasmid-mediated, high-level resistance to tetracycline(TRNG). Resistant rates of ciprofloxacin and penicillin G were 96.4% and 93.6%, respectively. The MIC50 and MIC90 of cefditoren are 0.125 mg/L and 0.5 mg/L, respectively. The isolated strains were not resistant to ceftriaxone and specitinomycin. Conclusion Ceftriaxone and specitinomycin are the first choice of antibotics for gonorrhea treatment. The study showed that it is important to analyze the antibiotic resistance of Neisseriae gonorrhoeae.
