Abstract

Objective To explore the influence of integrated nursing care on locus of control in gynecologic cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy. Methods SAS,SDS and MHLC were employed to assess the psychological status of the 180 gynecologic cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy. And all 180 cases received the integrated nursing interventions including health education, psychological support and relaxation training, and the scores of SAS,SDS and all dimensions of MHLC were compared before and after intervention. Results The scores of SAS,SDS,CHLC and PHLC dimensions of MHLC were markedly higher in the gynecologic cancer patients than the Chinese norm, while that of IHLC was much lower, with significant differences between both two groups, all P0.01.The scores of SDS and SAS were negatively related to the IHLC and PHLC and directly to the CHLC,all P0.05.The scores of SAS,SDS and CHLC were considerably lower after intervention than before intervention, while the PHLC score were markedly increased, showing significant differences, all P0.01.Conclusion The integrated nursing interventions can aid in improving the negative mind and locus of control in gynecologic cancer patients receiving postoperative chemotherapy, thus increasing the quality of life of them.
