Analysis of using of anti-infectives in outpatients

Objective To investigate the using of anti-infectives in outpatient and emergency departments of our hospital so as to provide basis for the decision making in regulating supply structure of anti-infectives,constituting control system and promoting reasonable drug use.Methods 9789 prescriptions during the first half of the year of 2009 were selected from outpatient and emergency departments for analysis of the use of anti-infectives,from HIS(the hospital information system).ResultsOf the total 9789 prescriptions examined,4711(31.62%)were anti-infective,of which,3095(31.62%)prescribed only one kind of anti-infectives,1614(16.49%)prescriptions 2 kinds of and 2(0.02%)prescribed more than 2 kinds of anti-infectives concomitantly.ConclusionThe using of anti-infectives in outpatient and emergency department of our hospital is basically rational yet far from perfect,and the rational drug use level should be further improved.
