Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the status quo of the use of anti-infectives in our hospital so as to find problems and then work out the corresponding measures to improve the level of rational use of drugs.METHODS: The outpatient prescriptions within two and a half years were randomly selected to undergo statistical analyses in aspects of usage of anti-infectives,percentages of single use and combined use of anti-infectives,route of administration, dosage, etc.RESULTS: Of the total 13 686 prescriptions examined,5 499(40.18%) were anti-infective prescriptions,of which,4 426(80.49%) were single use of anti-infectives;958(17.42%) were combined use of 2 anti-infectives and 68(1.24%) were combined use of more than 2 kinds of anti-infectives.CONCLUSION: Percentages of the use of anti-infectives are high;and abuse liability and irrationality in the route of administration and medication are noted, however, the drug combination is cautious and proper.
