Abstract
Objective To observe the therapeutic effects of carvedilol on left ventricle heart function in congestive heart failure(CHF).Methods 87 patients with congestive heart failure caused by coronary heart disease, primary hypertension, dilated cardiomyopathy were treated with carvedilol(3.125~25mg,Po,bid),in combination with positively inotopic agents and diuretics. The treatment sustained for three months. The following data were observed: NYHA class,LVEF,ΔD%,CI,E/A,C/T.Results This kind of treatment obtained reducion in ventricular remodeling and improvement in heart function, not only systolic but also diastolic function. Conclusions Carvedilol is an effective agent in the treatment of CHF.
