Abstract

Objective To explore the application of goal-directed management theory in the training of head nurses to train high-quality clinical nursing managers who adapt to the development of nursing.Methods The goal-directed management theory was applied in the training of head nurses in the training bases of comprehensive ICU and emergency department for ten months as a training cycle.Results After the training,the head nurses got improved in management ideas,research and teaching competency and coping abilities.Conclusion The application of goal-directed management theory is proved to be an effective and economic training model for the training of head nurses.
