Abstract
A new chiral stationary phase, 2,6 _ di _ O _ trimethylsilyl _ 3 _ O _ acetyl _ β _ cyclodextrin, was synthesized, and coated on a fused silica capillary column with methyl _ phenylsilicone oil as a diluent. Chromatographic properties of the stationary phase were investigated, and satisfactory resolutions were achieved for most of the studied enantiomers. The experimental results show that the acetylated and silylated β _ cyclodextrin derivative is suitable for use as chiral stationary phase with good chromatographic properties such as high column efficiency, good thermal stability and inertness in separating enantiomers.
