Abstract

Objective To study the expression and clinical significance of Endothelin-1 in breast carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of Endothelin-1 in breast carcinoma,breast benign lesions and adjacent normal breast tissue.The relationship between the expression of Endothelin-1 and the clinic stage was analyzed by SPSS1 6.0 software. Results The positive expression of Endothelin-1 in all three type tissues.There is a significant difference between the breast carcinoma and the breast benign lesions,the breast carcinoma and the adjacent normal breast tissue,the breast benign lesions and the adjacent normal breast tissue(P0.05).The highest expression of Endothelin-l was in breast carcinoma tissue.In breast carcinoma tissue,the advanced clinical stage,the more higher expression of endothelin-1. Conclusions Positive expression of Endothelin-1 in breast carcinoma tissue is highest in three tissue.It may play an important role in carcinogenesis and progress of breast carcinoma.
