Abstract
Objective Through testing the positive expression of c-erbB-2 in breast carcinoma and proliferation of the breast, to study the relationship between proliferation of the breast and breast carcinoma and to analyze the correlation between c-erbB-2 and clinic pathological parameters in breast carcinoma. Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the c-erbB-2 gene expressions in 108 cases of various degree of proliferation of the breast and 36 cases of breast carcinoma. Results The positive expression of c-erbB-2 in atypical hyperplasia tissue and breast carcinoma tissue was higher than that in mild hyperplasia tissue and moderate, severe hyperplasia tissue (P 0.05). C-erB-2 expression in breast carcinoma was related to the tumor grade, metastasis and survival period (P 0.05) . Conclusion Atypical hyperplasia is related to breast carcinoma. The degree of the positive reaction of c-erbB-2 in breast carcinoma is highly correlation with clinic pathological parameters. C-erbB-2 may play an important role in predicting prognosis.
