Necessity and Current Situation of Public Participation in Land Use Planning

On a theoretical study of the necessity of public participation in land use planning,this paper points to the different levels of public participation in land use planning and analyzes the necessity and actuality of public participation in land use planning.The paper concludes that there are some problems in public participation in land use planning,and that it is imperative to establish and perfect corresponding laws and regulations,to respect and secure the right of the public,to improve the methods of participation,so as to realize the conversion of land use planning from static to dynamic and to guarantee the sustainable development of the area.
