Abstract
Objective: To investigate mechanism and effect of self-made warm intestine decoction on the expression of EGF and bFGF in patients with chronic gastritis. Methods: A total of 210 patients with chronic gastritis that were treated in our hospital patients were divided into experimental group and the control group with 105 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oral ranitidine, while experimental group was treated with self-made warm intestine decoction for 1 treatment course which was consisted of 4 circles(7 days makes a circle). Then, total treatment efficiency, ulcer area size under gastroscopy were compared, and expression of EGF,bFGF were detected. Results: After one course of treatment, the effective rates of the control group and experimental group was 68.6%(72/105) and 81.9%(86/105),respectively.Expression level of EGF and bFGF of the experimental group was significant higher than that in control group(P0.05).Conclusions: The self-made warm intestine decoction shows better effects on chronic gastritis than rountine western medicine,it can stimulate glandular epithelial cells to secrete EGF and promote the healing of ulcers,it has certain clinical significance.
