Abstract

Liao 73 A,developed from the cross of Toyonishiki A( a BT-type CMS line) and Liao 73 and its successive backcrosses,is a japonicaclinous CMS Line in rice. It is characterized by stable and complete male sterility,strong tillering ability and good grain quality. Liao 73 A passed through the technical identification of Liaoning Provincial Rural Economy Committee in 2010. Most of the hybrids derived from Liao 73 A showed high yield and good grain quality. Among them,Liao 73 You 62( Liao 73 A / C62) was certified for release to commercial production by Liaoning Provincial Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in 2014.
