Abstract
n-Butyl cinnamate was synthesized by cinnamic acid and n-butyl alcohol as raw material, using stannous chloride(SnCl2·2H2O) as catalyst. The effect of elements on esterification rate was studied. The optimum conditions were as follows: the mole ratio of n-butyl alcohol to cinnamic acid is 3∶1,the amount of the catalyst is 0.2 g/0.02 mol acid, temperature is 140 ℃,reaction time is 2.0 h,the yield of esterification rate may up to 92.4%.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
